Wood Defence

Wood Defence is a high performing protective treatment by Shield Technologies. This product is specially formulated to protect all wood from water penetration, adverse weather, soiling and stains. Application of this product reduces humidity absorption, and prevents decay and UV damage. Outdoor surfaces such as decking, gates, panelling, garden furniture and cladding will be protected for at least 8 years. Internal surfaces such as work surfaces, floors and furniture will also benefit from the application of this product, and can stay protected for up to twice as long as outdoor surfaces. Wood Defence is able to penetrate the fibres rendering them water-repellent and resistant to stains without having an impact on the surfaces finish, texture and aesthetics.

This product is an almost odourless, clear liquid that is already mixed and easy to apply.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

1. Sweep or vacuum surface before application to ensure all loose dirt and grit is removed. Ensure the surface is completely dry before treatment.
2. Shake the container well, and pour the product into a tray.
3. Using a roller or brush, take some product from the tray and apply to the surface in the direction of the grain.
4. Allow the surface to dry for approximately 1 hour, and apply the second coat. Allow surface to dry completely before use.
